This Policy explains how Fieri collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the Fieri mobile applications, public webpages, and related services.
Short version: Fieri processes what you intentionally provide so it can create and remember your future-self experience. That can include intimate conversation text, audio, a synthetic-voice reference, and inferences about themes or emotional tone. Fieri does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. AI and infrastructure providers process some information on Fieri's behalf.
1. Who is responsible
Fieri ("Fieri," "we," "us," or "our") provides the service and is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to support@thefieriapp.com.
This Policy applies to Fieri services that link to it. Apple, Google, and other third-party services have their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
| Category | Examples | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Account and profile | Email address, authentication identifier, preferred name, profile image, timezone, settings, and account timestamps. | Create and secure your account, personalize Fieri, communicate with you, and honor your choices. |
| Reflection content | Conversations, future-self descriptions, goals, beliefs, pledges, reflections, letters, sealed notes, and feedback. | Generate responses, preserve continuity, provide requested features, and support safety and abuse prevention. |
| Voice and audio | Microphone recordings, voice samples, transcripts, synthetic audio, voice-profile identifiers, audio quality metrics, and speaking duration. | Transcribe speech, create and play a synthetic voice, operate live conversations, and diagnose audio failures. |
| Derived information | Conversation summaries; topics, goals, beliefs, patterns, emotional-tone tags, and possible crisis or safety signals inferred from content. | Personalize responses and features, produce insights you request, and provide safety interventions. These inferences may be wrong. |
| Device and usage | App and OS version, device platform, language, IP address, request metadata, session and security events, feature interactions, diagnostics, and crash information. | Deliver, secure, debug, measure, and improve the service and prevent fraud or abuse. |
| Purchase information | Store product, entitlement, renewal, expiration, transaction, and subscription status. Fieri does not receive your full payment-card number. | Provide paid features, restore purchases, support billing, and maintain transaction records. |
| Waitlist and launch communications | Email address and, when available, referral URL and campaign source, medium, or campaign tags submitted through the public website. | Manage the early-access waitlist, understand how people found Fieri, and send no more than two requested waitlist or launch-availability emails. |
| Communications | Support emails, privacy requests, AI reports, attachments you choose to provide, and our responses. | Respond, investigate problems, protect users, and document resolution. |
3. Sources of information
We receive information directly from you; automatically from your app, device, public-webpage request, and use of the service; from referral URLs and campaign parameters when you join the waitlist; from Apple or Google when you authenticate or transact through their platforms; and from providers that operate parts of Fieri on our behalf.
4. AI, voice, and sensitive information
Fieri is built around artificial intelligence. Text, transcripts, future-self context, and related instructions may be sent to an AI model provider to generate a response. Audio may be sent through real-time transport, speech-to-text, storage, and text-to-speech systems. See the AI & Voice Notice and Service Providers page for details.
A voice recording may be used as a reference for synthetic speech. Fieri does not use that reference to authenticate you, identify you in unrelated contexts, or track you across services. Voice information and content may nevertheless be considered biometric, health-related, or otherwise sensitive under some laws. We process it only to provide requested features, maintain safety and security, and comply with law.
Do not submit another person's voice, confidential information, medical records, or personal information you are not authorized to provide.
5. Why we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide the account, conversations, generated content, voice, memory, goals, reflections, exports, and other features you request;
- authenticate users, protect accounts, rate-limit costly or abusive activity, investigate incidents, and enforce our Terms;
- operate, test, troubleshoot, and improve reliability, accessibility, relevance, and safety;
- process subscriptions and communicate service, security, legal, or support information;
- comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- create aggregated or de-identified statistics that are not reasonably linkable to a person.
Where a law requires a legal basis, those bases may include performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Fieri, and compliance with law. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing and may prevent the relevant feature from working.
6. When information is disclosed
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary:
- Service providers. Hosting, storage, authentication, AI inference, speech, real-time audio, observability, messaging, support, and subscription systems process data to provide their configured functions. Their own terms may also apply.
- Platform providers. Apple and Google process authentication, distribution, purchases, refunds, and platform diagnostics under their own terms.
- Legal and safety needs. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect a person from serious harm, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect rights and security.
- Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy and applicable law.
- At your direction. For example, when you use a system share sheet or ask us to send information somewhere.
Fieri systems process conversations automatically. Access by authorized personnel is limited to circumstances such as support you request, safety or abuse review, security investigations, legal obligations, and controlled troubleshooting or quality work. We do not promise that content is end-to-end encrypted or unreadable to Fieri.
7. No sale or targeted advertising
Fieri does not sell personal information for money, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use third-party advertising SDKs, or use your conversation or voice content to target advertisements. If that practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out required before the change applies.
8. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including to provide your account, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Current retention criteria include:
- Account and product content: generally retained while your account is active, unless you delete specific content where that control is available or request account deletion.
- Pre-account free-letter input: not written to Fieri's product database. It is transmitted to the AI service to answer the request and may be processed in transient infrastructure or provider logs.
- Fieri-controlled application logs: retained on rolling schedules based on operational, security, troubleshooting, and incident-response needs. The period varies by log source, and relevant records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud, incident, legal, or support purposes.
- Waitlist information: stored on Fieri's netcup-hosted VPS and retained until you unsubscribe or the limited waitlist campaign ends, then deleted or de-identified when no longer reasonably needed. Every waitlist email sent through Fieri's self-hosted Postal service includes an unsubscribe link. A minimal suppression record may remain so Fieri can honor an opt-out.
- Account deletion marker: a pseudonymous identifier and deletion timestamps may be retained to prevent the deleted identity from being silently recreated and to document the request.
- Backups and caches: deleted information may remain until overwritten under rolling backup or cache schedules. A restoration can require the deletion request to be applied again before restored data is used.
- Provider systems: deletion may take additional time in provider logs, AI observability, and voice-processing systems. Some current or historical voice references and de-identified telemetry may persist until scheduled system reclamation where a provider does not expose item-level deletion.
- Purchase records: Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Fieri may retain transaction and entitlement records as required for accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, and law.
We will update this section as technical deletion controls and provider commitments change. You may ask about a specific category by emailing support.
9. Your controls and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of information; withdraw consent; restrict or object to processing; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and appeal a denied request. Fieri does not discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights.
- Use Settings in the app to update available profile and preference fields.
- Use the account-deletion control in Settings or follow these deletion instructions.
- Email support@thefieriapp.com for access, correction, portability, consent withdrawal, or an appeal.
We may need to verify your identity, for example by asking you to write from the account email address. An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits, but we may require proof of authority and direct identity confirmation. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
10. Account deletion
Deleting your account starts a workflow that targets the authentication identity, active sessions, Fieri database content, identifiable account-linked object storage, notification and subscription-profile records, and other records keyed to the account. Some information may remain because it is not linked correctly, a provider does not support item-level deletion, or for the reasons in Section 8, including pseudonymous deletion proof, provider retention, backups, security records, and legally required transaction records. Deleting Fieri does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google.
11. Security
Fieri uses measures designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, token and session controls, protected device storage, monitoring, and account-deletion workflows. Stored media is intended to be access-controlled, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and sign-in codes, and report suspected unauthorized access to support.
12. International processing
Fieri and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Availability in a country does not itself describe the transfer mechanism used; contact us for information about the production providers and safeguards applicable to your request.
13. Minimum age
Fieri is intended only for people age 16 or older and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
14. United States disclosures
During the preceding 12 months, Fieri may have collected the categories described in Section 2 and disclosed them to the recipient categories in Section 6 for business purposes. Fieri has not sold those categories or shared them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of anyone under 18.
Fieri does not use AI to make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education admission, government benefits, or access to medical care. The future-self character is an AI system, even when it sounds personal or uses a synthetic version of your voice.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the product, providers, or law changes. We will publish the new version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or seek consent when required.
16. Contact
